Unified Communications Monitoring

Modern Business Requires Modern Tools
Unified communications tools, like video conferencing and voice calls, are what tie business teams together in modern enterprises. These days, it's often mandatory for employees to use video conferencing tools like Microsoft Teams, Fuze, Slack, Zoom, or Google Hangouts. But legacy application and network monitoring tools aren’t designed for the modern era of UCaaS solutions, video or unified communications monitoring.
Is Your Network Robust Enough?
With network transformations that are pushing more communication towards Internet breakouts instead of MPLS, can you support VoIP and video applications? With AppNeta, you can continuously and proactively monitor for issues specific to VoIP and video connections as calls traverse your network, WAN and third-party networks. AppNeta voice assessments rely on continuous monitoring and diagnostic techniques to infer voice quality. Combined with passive packet inspection, IT can identify when it’s a single user or a specific location that is experience issues. AppNeta monitoring is ideal for checking existing deployments for issues, but can also be used to test the suitability of a network in advance of a VoIP/UC deployment.
Problems We Solve
Ensure the Best Call Quality
AppNeta proactively monitors voice and video traffic by continuously measuring the most critical network metrics over the wire between locations or between offices and cloud endpoints. AppNeta gives you a real-time view of end-user experience using methodologies that allow for deep diagnostic insight. AppNeta also tracks the industry-standard mean opinion score (MOS) for up-to-the-minute detail on call quality. Set thresholds for any metric to alert you when quality is falling, and fix issues before users are impacted.
Using AppNeta for our hosted phone solution has greatly improved customer satisfaction and reduced troubleshooting time.

Cut Congestion on the Line
AppNeta measures network capacity continuously between call source and destination to identify drops in performance during peak utilization times. See which users are experiencing issues and drill down by hosts, applications, or conversations. With voice assessments many paths can be tested simultaneously with only minor bandwidth consumption and for more detail, users can trigger deeper voice tests. Voice tests can test over one hundred concurrent voice calls and are best used to measure voice performance between sites—perhaps across an MPLS WAN link, peer-to-peer calling, or a trunk between buildings. With the same tests AppNeta can gather in-depth networks such as packet reorder and discards.
Diagnose Problems With ISP Connections and QoS
Proactively pinpoint performance issues that are causing call degradation, whether the root cause is in the local network, wider internet or provider. Monitor quality of service (QoS) to identify when demoted priority is the source of pain. AppNeta gives you the ability to generate traffic with the DSCP markings you need to verify or stress a network.

How AppNeta Monitors Video and VoIP
AppNeta sends carefully curated voice and video traffic over the wire in a continuous lightweight packet train. This is based on our TruPath™ technology and allows AppNeta to monitor networks in production and proactively alert based on customizable thresholds for MOS, voice loss, and voice jitter. Plus, our technology supports a variety of codecs and protocols. When issues are detected, diagnostic tests are automatically triggered to identify the root cause. Measure quality across the entire enterprise with AppNeta's industry-leading solution for VoIP and video.
