Support for Previous Generations of AppNeta Performance Manager Licensing is Ending
Support for earlier versions of the AppNeta Performance Manager licensing using multiple application modules is being phased out and replaced by the unified licensing model. This license replacement process maintains all features, data and monitoring capabilities of the legacy licensing with an easier to manage, application-monitoring centric approach.
What does this mean?
After Aug 1, 2020 Legacy Licenses will not be supported by AppNeta Performance Manager, and all active monitoring relying on legacy licensing will be disabled. Any legacy licenses in use after this date will not properly register with AppNeta Public Cloud or APM Private, and will not allow for performance monitoring. Customers should transition to unified licensing prior to August 1, 2020 to avoid any interruption in monitoring.
How do I upgrade to unified licensing?
AppNeta Customer Success Managers will be contacting each customer between August 2019 and August 2020 to transition all deployments to unified licenses. Unified licensing is a superset of legacy Module-based licenses, meaning that when an application is monitored, all forms of monitoring supported by AppNeta will be available. This ensures that should that application have a performance problem, you have the data needed to identify and resolve that issue as quickly as possible.
This licensing change is happening concurrently with the end of support of Legacy Monitoring Points, and all customers upgrading to the latest generation of monitoring points will automatically be upgraded to unified licensing at that time.
