AppNeta wins 2021 Cloud Computing Excellence Award
by Paul Davenport Paul Davenport on

It’s estimated that by 2025, more than 100 zettabytes of data will be stored in the cloud. That not only represents a massive amount of data (to put it in terms end users might be able to digest, one zettabyte equals a trillion gigabytes), but roughly half of all the total global data forecast to be collected by 2025.

For comparison, only about a quarter of all computing data was stored in the cloud back in 2015, which was a time when many companies were still mapping out their long-term cloud strategies. Fast forward to 2021, and cloud data centers now process 94 percent of all workloads, with SaaS accounting for 75 percent of that total.

With more and more enterprises committing to schedules that forego a worker presence at the main or remote office, it’s safe to say this trend is the new norm. “As-a-Service” cloud offerings continue to be the most dependable (and cost-effective) method for deploying workloads and keeping users connected, and IT teams are leveraging a greater suite of cloud-deployed solutions to manage this new enterprise environment in kind.

It’s within this hybrid-work reality that AppNeta has emerged as a winner of the 2021 Cloud Computing Excellence Award from TMC. As enterprises the world over saw their workforce decentralize and their cloud transformations accelerate over the past year, it was AppNeta’s ability to deliver comprehensive, end-to-end visibility into end-user experience that helped IT steer these changes successfully.

By arming teams with AppNeta’s combination of active and passive performance monitoring, enterprise IT was able to keep track of their traditional office and legacy IT infrastructure while expanding their management footprint into the individual workstations of specific workers.

In particular, AppNeta gives enterprise IT teams visibility into the outside-in performance of the connections linking remote users to their cloud applications and workflows. By monitoring the paths from users to the cloud environments where SaaS workflows are hosted, IT can gain a true understanding of network performance that quickly isolates where performance issues arise, and rapidly increases mean-time-to-resolution (MTTR) when it counts most.

This is especially valuable as workers adopt a Work-From-Anywhere mindset, where physical connections to the main office matter less than having consistent, performant access to networks that can quickly deliver cloud workflows. Whether in the office or at home, AppNeta breaks down these barriers to visibility to not only speed up MTTR, but ultimately prove innocence when issues fall on the cloud provider.

“I congratulate the winners of a Cloud Computing Excellence Award,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. “We continued to see remarkable progress and innovation in the cloud computing industry during the past twelve months, making this a very competitive process. It’s our pleasure to recognize such impressive contributions that have been proven to resonate in the cloud marketplace.”
