Technical Support Engineer

We’re growing our technical support organization and we’re looking for a Technical Support Engineer who is a problem solver by nature. It’s a good thing if you learned how to use your computer by breaking it first! Have you used 3rd party firmware on your router? If so you’ve got the mindset we’re looking for! The role works as part of a small but friendly support team where we are committed to ensuring a first class customer experience.
We’re interested in all ranges of experience and encourage recent graduates from a technical or networking background to apply! You will be a valuable member of our team working closely with our engineering and sales teams, helping our customers make the most of our products.
Our customers and partners are using our products in a large variety of network environments. This position will require solid fundamentals in networking and is a unique opportunity to build your exposure and knowledge in this field along with expanding your customer support skills.

Responsibilities:
Provide first level support to our enterprise, partner, and cloud service customers via phone, email and web communications.
- Ensure customer support expectations are met through timely responses and escalation of customer issues
- Submit knowledge articles for issues solved through technical support
- Provide product feedback and suggestions for improvement from a customer support perspective
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma related to Software/Networking
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with networking technologies (e.g. TCP/IP, routers, firewalls, DNS, VoIP)
- Intermediate Windows/Linux knowledge
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Must be comfortable communicating and discussing technical concepts with customers and peers.
Experience working with one or more of the following would be a benefit:
- Relevant industry experience is a major asset (Customer Service/Support)
- Experience with customer communications (email/web/phone)
- Experience with various aspects of OSI (switching, routing, protocol inspection)
- Interest in distributed applications
